Tonight should be fun in Narragansett. Central vs South Kingstown vs Narragansett Combined 10 ranked wrestlers and it does look like there will 2 matches head to head of ranked guys in The Central v Narragansett match. Central looks like they have the edge by a few matches but it could also be very tight. It's dosnt effect D2 team race but it's more good wrestling out side of d1

Last night was a great night to be a RI Wrestling fan especially in the Providence area. We got to see Lincoln vs Central in a Div 2 HWT bout then went down the street and watched Hope take on Coventry and NK. The season is getting better and better every week. Thanks to all the wrestlers, coaches and parents who make it so fun to follow and watch. Anyone know the results of the NK v Coventry match. Im hearing Central beat Lincoln pretty good. Who is the team that beat Central in a dual? RIIL has them with 1 loss. NK over Cov 40-36. NK's 220 has been stringing together some big wins recently. Saw him for the first time at the Chad Antoch tournament.... Should be a guy to watch come the TWO DAY State Tournament. Couldn't help but notice Cov sat their 138 against Schartner in the dual after a controversial win in the Westerly Tournament finals. 138 is quite the bracket this year!

What I think is really good about this year too compared to previous years is how wide open so many weight classes. The last couple years especially the Covid year, it’s felt like the number 1 seeds have easily walked their way through the brackets. Now there’s a possibility for even #4 seeds to make some noise and cause an upset

Alchihed (CW) dec Diorio (Ponagansett) at 220 (5-4) I’m sorry and props to the Cranston west, but that ref should be fired after that no call takedown

When Andrew clearly had his arm and head.

Did anyone see the central versus Narragansett match? Any highlights of the match? Central took an early lead winning 113, 120, 126, 132, 138, 145 Narragansett had a big comeback with win by fall by McConnell at 152, Winfield by Dec over Cruz 7- 2, Gianneto by fall at 170, Morgan by fall over Nasir at 182. The score when 220 started was Central 36 Narragansett 33. The 220 match was back and forth with both kids getting back points on the other before Central got the fall. 285 was less exciting with a quick pin by Central giving them them the dual by 15 points. There were some other moments early on at 113 and 132 (might have been 38) wear Narragansett wrestlers almost pulled the upsets, by the Central wrestlers handled the adversity and pulled it out. Narragansett has some tough kids but 152, 160, 170, and 182 are there core. Side note, 126 for Gannsett looks like is out for the season. Central is a tough tough team.

Well sounds like it was very competitive. Central will definitely be one of the top three teams at sectionals. Should be a fun tournament to watch.

Bishop won the Captial City Classic over Central Catholic. Central Catholic recently beat St. John's Prep, ending their dual win streak. However, in the 182 finals, Nathan Blanchette beat Spencer Fine 10 - 5. In the same weight class, Pilgrim O'Conner took 3rd. He's been wrestling 182 for a while now.

Moniz EP def Davis CW by 1 I would like to see that one again. Congrats to Moniz. The ref had started to roll his hands to give two for the reverse but as the buzzer sounded he stopped and only awarded 1 for the escape. The ref didn't warn anyone for stalling and maybe he should have. Especially in the 1st period. Moniz being up by 1 with the last 10-15 seconds was able to just avoid any contact by just backing up and at the end just running away. I would have liked to have seen a stall call to send the match Into sv. Otherwise, both those kids are roadblocks to anyone trying to qualify for New England's or even just make the podium.
