Wow, Peoples and Labrie is a big quarters match, with both undefeated in State, I believe. Toughest weightclasses to figure are 145 and 170, I think because of the Labrie factor. DiMauro, Noury, Jarrell and Wolfgang all stayed at 145 and Travers kept his growth to one weightclass (which was fairly typical for his career growth). Sauro and Dupre jumped nearly 20 lbs (although they're really effective at that size judging from their success this year), Baptista and Mulligan came up one weight while Hayes and Noury stayed at 170, so you have more returning placewinners than usual at both of these weights. How did Peoples get seeded 3rd if he was undefeated? Was he injured? Peoples didn't wrestle against Hendricken, at which match Stewart beat Austin Baptista. Stewart was undefeated in RI as well and had more matches (wins) so I assume more Power Points. Some day I gotta see these Power Points.

Anyone want to place a bet on my son (Aaron) placing? Always an underdog...Just want to say that his heart is as big as gold and he is more deceptive and a lot better than given credit for...Some say no one in that division will place in ri...I say different!!!! It's nothing personal, this class just happens to be one of the toughest: Reyes, Kilpatrick, Viens, Williams look to be top four. After that Travers is in the mix with Grifa, Leek, & Brown. I think that's a fair and accurate assessment. Reyes is just on another level for New England, especially as a sophomore and from a Division III Mass. school, Dedham (maybe there will be some good prep school coaches at NE's!). But the fact that Aaron beat Griffa during the season (Mass. Open 2nd and a NE placewinner last year) puts him solidly in contention. I still think 120 is the deepest, toughest weightclass, even without Altieri.

Kilpatrick beat Noury by 2 at the Chad Antoch Memorial, so seems to be on same page as Travers, and crew.
Peoples missed a match being sick, so had less power points then Stewart and Thibaudeau, which had returning placement points, and more matches to stay 1, 2.

Has a Division II tournament ever won the state tournament? My research goes back to 2002 and it has been D-I since then. Was Vets D-I in 2001 and 2000 and Johnston in 1999. Was Coventry D-I when it won from 1982-99?

Why the question on a Division II team winning States. Just curious? Or do you think Chariho has a shot. I will give them a top 5, but I think they can't match up with BH, Cumberland, and SK. BH is the front runner, and Cumberland and SK will fighting for 2nd.
