You probably don't have Hayes right at 170. He has one loss to Sauro but Sauro has two losses to dupree and Conley as well as less powerpoints. Dupree has 1 loss to Hayes. Therefore I believe 170 will go Hayes at one dupree at two and sauro at three or four depending on where Noury gets placed. Sauro could have gone lower if Conley hadn't moved up. Tough weight class with a lot of closely matched wrestlers.

Switch, my rankings are not based on power points, they are based on performance. I put Sauro over Hayes because he recently beat Hayes. Dupre has beaten Sauro. Now Hayes has a win over Dupre, so there is a round robin. However, I gave Dupre the nod because of how he lost. He quickly took Hayes down and tilted him. Dupre was up 5-0 and tilted Hayes to his back, however Dupre exposed his own back. I was not at the event but spoke to cumb, cov, and bh wrestlers, coaches, and fans. I had people tell me that Dupre was pinned and others said that the ref made a bad call. Believe it or not, there was Cov supporters that thought Dupre was pinned and Cumb supporters that thought he wasn't. Anyways 170 is one of my favorite weight classes this year. My rankibgs are not a slight against Hayes, he is a special talent and wouldn't surprise me if he takes 1st on Saturday. However as on right now, I think Dupre is the top guy. Though I have been known to get it wrong often

Also my rankings are not my state predictions. I don't know how the wrestlers are seeded, though I am assuming Hayes is one seed, meaning Dupre and Sauro would be on same side of the bracket and couldn't finish 1st and 2nd. Also remember that Noury, Navaillant, Anderson, Mulligan, Oconnor, and Baptista are all quality kids that could upset the top 3 guys

That wt class in my eyes is one of the most stacked this yr ,and believe me there is no shoe in.There are wrestlers in the bracket that were never even mentioned that if wrestle to their full potential could at any point spoil anyone of those wrestlers.I have seen just about all of them wrestle @ one point or another and they are all very talented.Just for one,I feel bad for the kid that catches NOURY because I know that kid wrestles with lots of heart and dedication, but Im routing for someone not mentioned that I hope to at least surprise me!!!! Good luck to you all,you are a great class of wrestling this yr and 170lb like I said will be no easy feat for any one wrestler...And the one who comes out on top,I will be there routing for ya @ New Englands for Team RI.....Go Get em Boys...

have the brackets been posted yet? D1 coaches have D1 seeds and know D2 placings so can figure out, if D2 coaches have access to D1 seeds then they can figure out, but no "official" bracket from Paul DeFosse has come out yet.

Ponaganset should have injured out at 170 in the sectional finals. I think he's in the finals if he does. No question in my mind and no one will change it.

I see D2 with maybe 7 champs to split it down the middle.

I see D2 with maybe 7 champs to split it down the middle. D2 D'Aloisio, Howard, Labrie, Labrie, Gallagher, Nefft almost a lock, but anything can happen 145 is suspect, but Robey could take down 285 to make it a 8-6 D2 swing. Over-all medal count will swing D1 way though. wrestler780: any particular seed your looking for? To many names to type for me, 14 seeds at 14 classes.

I'm thinking that Martinez is supposed to be Gomez? Gomez a #7 seed and will see Norby (Cumb) #2 seed, in 3rd match
