Okay guys here are my final rankings. I figured NCAA, Boxing, MMA. etc do top 10 so I gave it a shot. Please don't nick pick the bottom guys as it was hard to come up with 10. Also these are my rankings, not my predictions. For example, so weight classes have the top 2 guys in my opinion of the same side of the bracket. Also remember that these rankings don't matter. It is just one guys opinion. I am sure others have different opinions. Wrestlers don't doubt yourself because your lower on my rankings then the kid your wrestling, or if your not ranked at all. Maybe I didn't see you wrestle enough or at all. All I have been proven wrong many times over the years. There is nothing better then upsets. So prove me wrong!!!! It ain't that hard. Good luck to all the wrestlers. Do your best!!!!

132, 160, 170, top 2 on same side of the bracket.
I assume you mean the 16 man round, here's a few more decent match ups
106 Persechino/Hussey 120 Stamas/lamphear 132 pig tail Kelly/Blake 138 also Durkin/Procopio Forestier/Widdifield was one sided till widdifield got slammed Skorski/Torres (could be decent match up) 152 Nelson/Ribezzo 195 Lombardo/Pierce 220 DeSantis/Millen

138 has a lot of tough wrestlers... I guess you could say the same for all our weights... but 138 and 145 seem to stand out

Wow, Peoples and Labrie is a big quarters match, with both undefeated in State, I believe. Toughest weightclasses to figure are 145 and 170, I think because of the Labrie factor. DiMauro, Noury, Jarrell and Wolfgang all stayed at 145 and Travers kept his growth to one weightclass (which was fairly typical for his career growth). Sauro and Dupre jumped nearly 20 lbs (although they're really effective at that size judging from their success this year), Baptista and Mulligan came up one weight while Hayes and Noury stayed at 170, so you have more returning placewinners than usual at both of these weights.

I agree the 145 and 170 are tough to figure. There are some excellent wrestlers in both. There are going to be some good matches there to watch. That and the 120 will have some great matches

How did Peoples get seeded 3rd if he was undefeated? Was he injured?

Mike peters your post early in year has altieri losing at 120 cause he small do you still think that now of the 4x state champ. Thats what I meant when I said do research. Even with bum shoulder he still dominated a great weightclass

Even with bum shoulder he still dominated a great weightclass If you recall I said Beaudette was a tough matchup for him and he was. He didn't dominate in his 7-6 semis win. What research? He beat Beaudette 2-0 in the finals last year. He lost to him due to the injury this year. Then he won 7-6 in the semis this year. Hats off to John, he's an incredibly tough kid. I was wrong in my prediction and I'm glad I was. John Altieri is what this sport is all about. He wrestles hard and conducts himself with honor at all times.

What a lot of people did not get to see was exactly how hard he worked to get back into shape. He really had to bust his butt to come back from a very difficult injury. On top of that warrior spirit that kid is one of the nicest kids in wrestling. He is someone all our kids should look up to.

I know im teasing with you!! But the 7-6 does not show he was in control the whole time cody did score 2 early then altieri gave him 4 points by letting go to get on feet altieri was definatly the diminate wwrestler then and finals. It was fun going back and forth with ya this year

I also think Jason Davol should be recognized for stepping up to the challenge at 120. He could have cut to 113 and secured another state title but he chose the more difficult path. This type of kid who doesn't shrink from a challenge or duck the best competition is also a great example for the kids coming up. He proved his wrestling ability winning states last year but he proved something about his character finishing 2nd this year.

Anyone want to place a bet on my son (Aaron) placing? Always an underdog...Just want to say that his heart is as big as gold and he is more deceptive and a lot better than given credit for...Some say no one in that division will place in ri...I say different!!!! It's nothing personal, this class just happens to be one of the toughest: Reyes, Kilpatrick, Viens, Williams look to be top four. After that Travers is in the mix with Grifa, Leek, & Brown.

Jay davol and his father are great people and im friends with. Jay could of been a 113 state and new england champ. He wanted to go out wrestling the best in ri and he did a great job and he did it respectfully. I wish him luck in new englands and whatever else he does in life

Very good and solid wrestler? Anyone would be foolish to look past him. After watching him wrestle I think he will do very well at NE. I haven't looked at his personal bracket but that will matter as it does for all of them. He is intense and wrestles with fire. I know it's kind of a side note but he also seemed like a good kid in the short time we were with him.
