Good win for Central, but cov didn’t have their 113, 132, or 195 wrestling. So it could have turned out different if they did.

182 Amaral (EP) gets no love on here. He lost in the blood round last year at 182. Recently bumped up and beat Camereana (BH). Been told he might be staying at 195.
Also, last night O'Connor (Pil) after going 182 at Nashua, went 182 instead of wrestling Wilcox (Woon) at 195. Pretty sure he's 182 now.
Amaral and O'Connor should be ranked at 182. If Amaral goes 195, he should be ranked at 195.

Updated rankings when the weeks over! Does anyone know what’s going on with Cranston East not posting scores at all?

Hope Pono had a lopsided score but a lot of good matches.
Notable results: Joyce over Monteiro by injury default, Perez over Baccala I think it was 8-4, Tavares over Diorio (at 220) 8-0

182 ( ep) amaral should be ranked he hasn’t lost this season. Has 2 out of state tourney wins brandan grant and the lancer invitational 182(Nk) isn’t even on any dual meet records he’s not wrestling but yet he’s ranked at 182 Why is pilgrim 182 ranked at 195 if he’s going 182

The flaw in ranking system - some Div 1 teams like EP and Cumb stay away from In-State tourneys (Cumb only does theirs). As a result, guys only get ranked when they beat someone during a dual meet. However, if a wrestle makes it to the blood round and is at the same weight again the following season, they should be ranked.
Not bashing the ranker, it's just a flaw in the system. I appreciate the work they do.
I think there's guys jumping weight in the upper weights, exciting to see where guys actually go. Does Tavares now go 220? He can def beat Reiner and Diorio and better chance at a state title at 220 than 195.

I understand where you're coming from because sites like Flo and Intermat use that in their ranking criteria but their lists are far more expansive than just top 6. Its the best way I have been able to come up with to keep any bias out. The ''rankings" are just the sum of what happens in the current season. They are soley based off of results (except the P4P which is just my opinion) so it makes sense that head to head dual wins are most valuable in considering who to put where, tournaments definitely help but the main focus are duels. Now that isn't to say what happened the previous season doesn't matter, but I usually only really take into account either head to head wins or state medals.

Central has a home match against Lincoln Wednesday. This will probably show us who will win d2. Hopefully we can see Aziz and Nameek wrestle to see who will win but we don’t know if Aziz will cut down to 138. Honestly thinking central gonna win especially with them blowing out west Warwick yesterday.

Hendricken beat Coventry 55-24 . Also beat Salem and chariho convincingly. Vital wins the h2h against Silverman 13-1 . We will see what happens when they face Hope but im thinking Hendricken should be the number 2 behind Pono

Notable remarks: OW Isael Perez 170 Hope Hope did not have Monteiro wrestling could have made the difference in this tourney in the team race. NP had a solid number of guys in Finals/Placing Rounds they could make a fight for top 5 in states if a few wrestlers stepping up, same for EP EP and LaSalle look like they are continuing to improve both teams are extremely young
113 Hiraldo takes Conlan to OT 132 Neishel (NP) is tough 182 Titre(Cumb) beats Amaral(EP) via pin in finals 195/220 Lots of questions going to come in play for the 195 and 220 weight classes with some of the moving pieces surrounding Hope and Cumberland do Imanol Tavares (Hope) and Shane Raposo (Cumb) stay at a tough 195 or do we see one of them go up to the weaker 220?

Something def has to give at 195/220. 195 is loaded with talent at Div 1 and Div 2. Bolduc (Lincoln) went 220 this week against Barr. Bolduc going 220 makes sense for Lincoln at the sectional level but he went 195 yesterday. We just have to wait till coaches submit their sectional/state paperwork. Wonder if everyone thinks someone is going to make a move but in long run no one does, will make for a great state bracket.
