Observations from this weekend Hope looks real good Chariho going to be a force this yea Bishop will be even a bigger force Cranston West should be very good this year - more dual meet wise than tournament team Everyone always sleeps on Cumberland - prob cause only in state tournament they do is theirs (their too good to support other tournaments - story for another time) Where does pong fit into this topic? Last year two div 2 teams finsihed states top 10 - dont know about that this year Mason Lynch looked real good at mt. Hope tournament. Should be wrestling joyce this weekend at north prov tournament. Last few years north Providence tournament been real good with Coventry and pong attending.

It’s not that Cumberland is too good for other in state tournaments. If you read the RIIL rules on wrestling all teams can only compete for 20 total days and compete in 5 tournaments. They have great fund raising which allows them to compete in highly competitive out of state tournaments. No snub on our in state tournaments but the out of state tournaments they attend blow away any tournament in RI. This has also allowed them to host in my opinion the best in state tournament.

I totally agree @wrestleon Manufactured rankings based on a mixture of past results and unprofessional opinions. Weight classes aren’t remotely accurate.

Cameron Anderson? I'm a Fanderson. An athlete, a scholar, and disc golf connoisseur is bringing his discs of death to the mats of Rhode Island. This year, you can watch out for his signature moves, such as the tomahawk toss, the sneaky scoober and finally his chicken wings served with a side of pain and blue cheese. Keep your eyes peeled and your disc nets ready for The Cameron "Steak-Shake" Anderson. 4 sports athlete amazing sportsman, and podcast host. Such a renaissance man.

- Not sure what the depth at 106 will be but Pono has a 106 that is legit. J'mari Lowman.
- Happy to see some new teams making some noise. Hope - North Kingstown. But had solid matches against Pono. The Pono team that faced NK is probably more likly what there team will look like going forward.

Chariho over Cumberland yesterday, 2 cumby studs go down. State runner up Sangare loses 11-3 to marchione, and state champ Hancock gets pinned by phelps.
Significant weight gain: 2 time state placer Andrew Soares moves up to 170 He wrestled at LSA last night and got Majored by Breit.'

More notes from last night
Cumberland Passante went 126 Reily wasnt in lineup. Did he lose wrestle off at 126 and/or 132?
Lincoln Lynch bumped away against Zarella from nk maybe saving his seed. Lynch will have more powerpoints because he placed last year and if he doenst wrestle Zarella, Zarella cant jump him. Just wrestle (lincoln wasnt winning dual so not for team purpose)

Just wrestle. A junior ducking a freshman is lame. Wrestle your way to a state championship, and worry less about points. I take Zarrella in that matchup anyway.

He unenrolled last Friday and enrolled in Ponagansett for Monday and wrestled 106 for them last night. Also a lot of talk about Fry from Coventry going to 106 to make room for Robichard at 113.
