120 Castaldi beat Porcaro in duel meet. Wheeler & Porcaro have split with each a win. Wheeler beat Castaldi in duel meet. Should be 1 Hussey 2 Clarke 3 Wheeler 4 Castaldi 5 Porcaro 6 Leonard. Anyone know if Nappi is wrestling in states? 120 or 126?

A Couple thoughts from today at freshmen states.
1) Cumberland is loaded with young talent under 150 lbs. 2 kids in the finals at 100 and another finalist at 106. And it was like that up and down the brackets through 150. 2) Fallon was at the tournament. I was kind of surprised when I didn't see him in a bracket.
3) Fry had his way through the tournament with one exception. In his match against Iacabucci, Fry was definitely more then frustrated. He caught an unsportsmanlike for going a little to hard, alittle bit after the whistle, and a little bit off the mat. Fry was clearly in charge the entire match but Iacabucci is such a unconventional wrestler that you cant pin him.
4) I was really surprised to see Merritt and McGovern matched up so early in their bracket. Does anyone know how the brackets are made at that tournament?
5) Juanita Sanchez could be a team worth watching in the coming years. Good Coaching staff, kids where disciplined and it was good to see the kids hitting the moves the coach communicated. It was my first time seeing any of them wrestle so I came away impressed with them.

A Couple thoughts from today at freshmen states. 1) Cumberland is loaded with young talent under 150 lbs. I'm not even sure if the best 106 is Riley right now. Brady Giles won today as the Fr. 100 and if you look at the tournaments Cumberland went to, Giles won more matches in the same bracket and if his points counted for the team, Cumberland wins those tournaments. 2) Fallon was at the tournament. I was kind of surprised when I didn't see him in a bracket. 3) Fry had his way through the tournament with one exception. In his match against Iacabucci, Fry was definitely more then frustrated. It's difficult to go through 28 brackets morning of to separate. - Coach Vic is a great coach and has done a great job with JS, every kid listens and is respectful.

If Gillis was the better wrestler he would have won atleast one of the wrestler offs! Winning the 100lb freshman weight class is Nothing compared than the 106. if you think about all the 100lb kids are prob the jv 106's: ex Gillis

I Predict Ricky Brown from NK to win states. I heard the 285 from Cumberland and the 285 from Hendricken take steroids. I think they should be disqualified from competing. this years forum is not that good. been on it for years now never seen it this bad

Why do u have Ricky Brown over Martino. Wilcox from Cumberland pinned Ricky Brown, and Martino beat Wilcox 6-0. Also Martino has won out of state tournaments this season. He already beat the number one Vermont heavyweight and beat a ranked New Hampshire heavyweight. He also got thirds in New Englands last year, so I don't see the logic. The number one heavyweight from Vermont got to the finals in Nationals last year??
