Several exciting Qtrs it was a great night of Wrestling with lots of let downs for Cumberland makes for a great race today

McClarny and mey in the semi-finals...nice to see two island boys making a splash. Thats unfortunate about the twin...they both seemed to be very passionate about the sport. Those kind of kids are the best to coach because you know they will be at every practice and working hard. I was very fortunate to have a high percentage of those kids within the very few that came out for the team. They are all very successful in life, also... no coincidence. Can anyone ellaborate on the minty DQ? How is 189-HWT as far as quality is concerned? I don't recognize too many names as returning place finishers.

I would have to say that every single one of Kaitlyn B.'s matches today were a full length ABC soap opera.
Minty was wrestling McClarny and was up 7 - 2. Plain and simple, he grabbed McClarny's balls and pulled on them. Should have been a flagrant misconduct, really. So since Minty was DQed that allowed McClarny to move up, and Bobby Mey to have a shot at beating McClarny.

I have to agree on Kaitlyn. I give her a lot credit ,she is actually a very good wrestler and has to overcome obstacles of being a female in this sport, but the theatrics are getting old, and poking kids in the eyes needs to stop.

Sir, you do realize you are like 50 and she is 16........right It's kind of funny when the only people complaining about the "theatrics" of a 16 year old FEMALE wrestler are the parents of kids that she beat. I bet you have been rehearsing what you were going to write since you wrote the same thing last year. Let's try to move on Mr. Heibner, your son graduated.

Didn't Hiebner wrestle in the STATE FINALS last year? Yes.....congrats to him, he was a good wrestler. Apparently you didn't read my post thoroughly. Unless he aged quite a bit and had a son, I don't think that I was talking about him. I don't talk trash or complain about the wrestlers like a LARGE amount of the folks on this board.....only their whiny parents.

It's total BS and it has been happening since she started wrestling on the big stage. It is not fair what gets done to her and said to her by parents who do not know what she puts herself through so that she may be able to compete at the same level with the boys. To boo her and say we are coming to get you girl and other things that cannot be said on this because we have to keep it clean is straight disgusting. Its a shame on the female parents to behave the way they do, they should be proud of the fact that she is out there just like they would've been proud if Hilary was president. The other male parents and coaches that were trash talking should man the hell up and say, "you know what, she is a great athlete, she only wants the same respect as any other "wrestler" out there, but do not trash talk her and realize also that she is injured, she has been hurting and any of the other athletes in her place would've either behaved the same, defaulted and everyone would've clapped for them, but not for her? Remember she is still a female and there are emotions that she will put forth that we do not see from our male athletes. Understand that and give her the freaking credit she deserves!
