unfortunately a ref's call or non call can end a kids season after they have worked so hard. That is the worst part about this sport.

Yeah but the same could be said about a coach's attention to the match. If a coach fails to remember the 3rd caution for a pt, or a 3rd illegal hold for 2 pts. Or a wrestler's lack of ability to keep his cool, or wrestle within the rules and get tossed. It's an emotional sport w/ a lot of grey areas

Did meyers win his 4th state title? Is he the third to do this? (smith, Giblin, Meyers) That is a ridiculous feat, congrats.

I believe Mt. Hope is only graduating one kid, gonna be a team to watch next year. I believe there will be a lot closer dual meets this coming year with no truly dominant team (I may be mistaken) EP looks like the biggest threat at this point, could quite possibly take the title

Wow So only 13 kids finished in top 4 out of a possible 56 kids. The other 43 were seniors.

Coventry finished 6th (I think) and did not graduate many seniors. Nick Botella may have been the only one. Do any of you think that they will be a contender next year?

I think Cumb BH EP Cov will be in top 5 not sure about 5th spot and I think EP and Cumb are front runners. Also depends on who BH lands next year.

My belief is that BH graduated their core this year (Gelardi, Pelitier, Techinten, McLarney), although they will still have talent. Cranston West and Vets also is graduating tons, though they both could always do something big. My rankings for next year would be: Ep-Only graduated one senior I believe (Burrows)? Cumb-Though losing a solid group of seniors should have good leaders in Lacrioux and Travers (Like to see Beaudette keep doing damage) Cov-With the lose of 2-3 seniors only, they should be a very strong team. 4th-onward is wide open with Vets losing a lot of kids, as is Cranston West. I can see it being either one of them or BH, NK, or Mt. Hope here.

lets anticipate some good competition in RI next year, but things could become interesting with the proposed weight class change.
