My take on what will happen at states just from looking at scores and seeing a few guys wrestle:
103 looks pretty set with a possible final between Alterei and Boudette, however, katelyn could be involved in that too.
Alverez seems to have a lock on 112 but numbers 2-6 seem pretty open with Nordby's win over Colicci. Anything could happen here.
119 has Shai as the obvious favorite but who he is going to face is going to be a toss up with burrows, murphy, and meyers.
Again a larivere is the favorite, however Vicente and him will most likely have a dog fight. Don't count Adams out however, being a senior he really wants this one.
Great match between Meyers and Travers ending in the double default at 130. Meyers was clearly in control but with his hand injury, depending on how serious it is, Travers could put up a fight. Labrie is a solid wrestler who should not be counted out, as well as Toll gate's travers who did place top 3 last year.
Cole is ranked New England, so obviously number one going into the state tournament, Gelardi, Widdifield and Maccini should be a dog fight to see what two of the three will be also heading to new englands. Labrie could also turn the tables on this weight class, depending on how he deals with added pressure of being a freshman that is being recognized as such a talented wrestler in the state tournament.
Desilets clearly the favorite to win states, if not new englands. However, the 2-6 spots are wide open. Duffy is suffering lately, Venticinquay is extremely talented, Wolfang is a contender, Creamer is looking a little beat up, Debritto is really starting to shine, Righter could pull an upset to place, and NK's nick mayo has put up some solid matches and beat Creamer. Very close contest for 2 and 3 and 4-6.
145 definitely is going to be interested. Jerrell, Minty, Vita, Maccini, Cusumano, Gomez and McLarney all could pull something together. Jerrell and Minty most likely 1-2 with Vita and Maccini fighting for 3rd while Cusumano, Gomez, and McLarney try and settle the last two spots.
152 has been interesting this year with O'dowd leaving sk's team. Gaudino now is the favorite, but do not forget about Pratt from West, Smith from cumby, and Schmeider from WV. Top 3 is really a toss up at this point. 5-6 is going to be interested now with Ziobro moving up. Most likely between him and Gallagher.
160 goes to Burrows hands down. Georges, Aubin, Dewey, Connelly, and Comstock all going to be fighting to be in the finals. Most likely gonna be Georges but don't count out any of the others. Comstock could get stuck early and be 2 and done having a tendency of going to his back. Solid weight class.
Salois will be in for a fight with Reiss and Peltier. They will be the top three but the order could go any which way. Cole from Chariho could make some noise and pull an upset to get into that top 3 list. Not as strong of a weight class after first 4 or 5.
189 is a huge toss up. Zeramby beat Techintan, Techintan beat Lacriux, Lacriux beat Zeramby. Top three will be a dog fight with a possibility of Phillips or Neff being thrown into the bunch. Definitely going to be an exciting weight class to watch.
215 is just simply a lot of potential winners between Smith, Gould, Rodriguez, and Lussier but I'll say its Smith and Gould with anyone able to grab third and the last seat to new englands. 4-6 aren't really anything special with no big names.
Obviously a "big" weight class with all sorts of possible winners. Could come down to Aurillo and Barrett, but don't count out Harris from Westerly or Thompson from Vets. The rest of the place-winners will just come down to who shows up to wrestle.
