But he didn't wrestle Davis if he wrestles him and loses he's not the #1 therefore ducking Davis is rewarded!
Imagine if a basketball team is the #1 seed and forfeits their last game of the season to secure the seed! Like they just don't show up, and get the #1 seed, people would lose it!!
So Mt Hope says he's hurt, is he so Hurt
that he should be the #1 seed and wrestle a week later, how hurt is he if he wrestles at States?

The only one that could be feeding you this information (and make you so sure of it) would be someone in a position to push for a change. from what I hear, the assistant director of the RIIL is not a fan of this business. This person also happens to be the last AD at pono. Coincidence? Maybe, but I doubt it. A change like that would need some serious planning and approvals. It doesn’t just happen because your boy says it will. And just because someone from the team you coach/slob over may get screwed over in this single instance while taking advantage of everything else the system allows, doesn’t mean you should go running to your boy for the change to happen with no clear vision of how it should work. |

Gabe being the #1 @ 150 would be the best case scenario then Thidedaux ducking Davis would put then against each other o n the bottom side of the bracket, which is fair and that's all the fans want!! Don't worry a D1 sectional is coming! What are you talking about? If Thibidaux has enough PP to beat out Davis, then he’s on the top of the bracket. Whether he was hurt or not facing Pono, that will be the case. A sectional doesn’t solve anything. Coaches and wrestlers will still game the system. Bracket clearly needs to be adjusted. If it was fair, the bracket would be even on both sides but it’s not. Top spot has an easy ride. Hell, the D1-4 has an easier ride than anyone on the bottom. The bracket for half the weights isn’t fair. Look at 120 with more than likely Schifino Davis and farnsworth on the bottom half of the bracket while it’s just hood up top. Or 144 as I mentioned earlier in the year with Mian, schartner and now McCarthy wrestling on the bottom half and who’s up top? Only vital. Thibidaux is more than likely going to jump Davis in pp just because he placed last year as well, while if you look at the results, there are multiple people Davis has beaten by bonus that thibidaux has barely won against. I hate pono more than anyone else as a team but if an individual does screwed up, you can’t defend it. It would be different if they wrestled weights throughout the year or something but for it to be the last match of the season and doesn’t wrestle 1/2 his matches that day, you can’t tell me that’s fair |

The brackets can easily be properly seeded as well. Put Gabe as the 1, aziz as the 4, Wilcox at 215 deserves the one seed over diorio and aliched, herrara or Duncan are the one and the other can be the 3. Are there any other major issues

Great job to all the teams at Sectionals yesterday.
Lincoln had a very strong showing putting 6 wrestlers in the finals. They had some of the toughest draws. They did cash in at 138.
Other notable finals matches
165 Watts- Pilgrim over Rivera - Central 5-3 SV
285 Duncan - Narragansett over Herrera Great overall hw finals match. Lots of pressure on both sides; the big boys were really getting after it.
138 - Dib - Lincoln dec 3-2 Voute - AIW
Best finals match i.m.o -
It didn't seem like the field was as big as last year, however the quality of the Semi-Finals, finals, and 3rd looked better to me.

Thibedeau earned the one which means the Riil screwed that up and gave the worst wrestler a benefit. Also I believe currier and leischner is either a close match or leischner at least majors.
