Cooper is good but he should be ranked second at the highest. Reall has better state paper and the h2h was from last year in a different weight class. A lot can happen in an offseason.. anticipating this match in the finals He has the head to head, only reason he placed higher them him last year was because cooper had bouyssou in the quarters. Let talk about what the criteria should be for rankings. 1) head to head 2) national paper 3) New England paper 4) state paper 5) common opponents that’s wrong… both got sent to the consis and had the chance to wrestle back for third. which is what reall did. While I agree the criteria for rankings needs to be adjusted, only p4p will really use national paper. most weights aren’t deep enough talent wise to use actual national paper in weight rankings.

I’m working on them as we speak! And to further mention the ONLY way to move up or down during the season in terms of ranking each weight class are head to head wins. The rankings that are currently posted are a bit stale but I keep them up to give people something to look at as I update them. The goal to keep them as result based as possible, 100% objective besides the P4P.

Again if we agreed on how the Criteria then cooper has the head to head, reall has the state paper but cooper beat the mt kid 9 to 4 while reall beat mt hope 2-1. So who should be number 1 rn? Unless reall has beaten a kid that cooper has lost too.

2021 H2H < 2021 Paper < 2022 H2H in my opinion. They both beat MH, I don’t find the score particularly relevant.
So I would personally have it 1. Reall 2. Cooper based on that.
Thankfully rankings don’t really matter and this will work itself out at states.

Billy Leishner and Stone Farnsworth is my prediction for the 120lb state final. If of course Billy stays at 120lbs, Pono probably has a finalist at 120lbs Either way. However, I would love to see Joyce go 126 to rematch Myers

Zarrella and Jarrell both take 4th at the JWU OPEN today. Jarrell beat a New England champ from 2 years ago 10-4 and ended up injury defaulting in 3rd place match after being up 2-0. Both have made giant gains from last year. Swaim also wrestled and won several matches.

Look at last years tournament, where cooper lost 3-0 to gabe while reall lost 3-1. And not only that but cooper lost to mallon 5-1 while reall would beat mallon 11-9. Should be an exciting match up when they meet though

Coventry utterly dismantled West last night...although improved they still have a long way to go!

🦗🦗…. Pono went down to hope and Reall was a no-show. how are we ranking this team now? I do believe pono has a better tournament team but there should be no reason why hope isn't in the talk of the team race. Coventry and hope match should be a great one to watch on Wednesday!! The Hood brothers are on a mission I cant wait to see how they finish this season. Looking at the results I do believe Coventry has the better chance of running away with the state title this year. Simply because in my eyes they will have more state placers where most will finish top 3. What are your thoughts?

They are tough and have a lot of solid wrestlers. While they won the dual against Pono, who knows how the state tournament scoring will go. IMO it will end Coventry, Pono, Hope.. only point I disagree with is the Reall no show.. he wasn’t on the bench last night so I wouldn’t say crickets and act like he’s ducking.. in a time like this he could’ve been out due to quarantine protocols if he wasn’t on the bench. Not like Pono to duck.. especially for a close dual.

So Pono lost to Hope by ONE point 36-37. That could have been flipped easily. Hope is a great team but in light of West vs Coventry.... Coventry runs away with it.

If I am not mistaken St. Laurent beat Montanez in their dual meet 15-5. Np faces NK and Pono this week so well see how it turns out since Montanez lost to Pono and Nk at 126

Cannot wait for the Smithfield tournament some great wrestling is going to go down. Some dark horses like Joey grillo (Barr) and Cruz (cent). Rodman (sk) is going to get the beat down too, so overall excited to watch some solid wrestling

- Maurice cooper is too overrated. -Patrick pitts is looking like a state champ. - Neves pinned Rodman at the griswold tournament last week I also think fist bumps are the new wave, I shook hands with the Woonsocket team and I found a black sticky substance in my hand that was there for a week, stay safe.

Maurice Cooper is a stud, and is nowhere near overrated I think while Adolfo basically has the title locked up, Marvelli (Barr) is a real stud and could be a tough challenge in the finals I completely agree with Neves, he is easily a top wrestler at 132 and could cause some real damage at states. So pumped for the Smithfield tournament
