Also with that said, this will not be like last years board with flame wars like it’s a highschool chat room, keep it civil and mature. I do my research as extensively as possible and I am open to small critiques and for the fathers on here going crazy because their son or whoever isn’t ranked, it’s for a reason. There is no should or should not be, only is or isn’t and from this point on in the season only head to wins matter!!!! Thank you

P4p- how is Clarke a HM when he has wins over faria and fine in the past and placed as high or higher than everyone except Grifka and fry. In addition having more state titles.

With the p4p in my opinion those other guys are just more dominant in their wrestling styles but the p4p list is anyone’s take really, they’re all outstanding wrestlers who are in contention for NE hardware and even championships no doubt so to legitimately rank them accurately is tough if they’re all accomplishing close to the same things.

Agreed very tough and opinionated just the head to head wins and titles should have earned at the least the 3 or 2 with grifka infront or behind him.

P4P in my opinion should be 1 Fry 2 Grifka 3 Fallon 4 Fine 5 Clarke 6 Faria
If Faria goes 52 this year that puts all these kids at different weights. Would be awesome to see 3 out of these 6 win NE’s. Could be more honestly.

Rankings for p4p should not be made comparing a wrestler from 120 compared with a wrestler at 182 as to who is more dominant. P4P should be based on how our RI wrestlers do outside of RI when they wrestler on a national stage; if that were the case the rankings would be quite different. I think we don’t understand how good the light and middleweight RI wrestlers are if you look at Fallon, Fry, Clark, Fine and Joyce they fair better against national competition than say Grifka or Faria! To be fair Faria and Grifka are multisport athletes; if they wrestled year round they would be dominant, but they don’t. Based on resume Joziah Fry is #1, Fry doesn’t just wrestle well against ranked kids he beats them! I was not convinced when Fry won at NHSCA with 29 kids in the bracket; the best being Liptzen a New Jersey Qualifier, but he beat a number of nationally ranked wrestlers to AA at Fargo and AA at Super 32, Name a RI wrestler who has accomplished this, you can’t they don’t exist! Committed to D1 Campbell. Wins over nationally-ranked Steen and Hausermann! www.flowrestling.org/video/6576789-match-joziah-fry-ri-vs-kyle-hauserman-paFallon is #2 Fallon has wrestled competitively and has beaten a number of ranked kids over the course of his career, which is why he is going to American D1 and getting a full ride, taking 3rd at NHSCA in a difficult bracket where he defeated Lamparelli NJ placer and Adrian 2X New England champ is not a fluke also beating Leete #128 on the Junior Big Board for a NE title! With countless other victories against quality opponents. www.flowrestling.org/video/6421983-113-lbs-consolation-joey-lamparelli-nj-vs-andrew-fallon-maClark is #3, Funkmaster claims to have done serious research, but did he watch Clarke’s match against Super 32 Champ Joel Vandervere, where Clark was winning late in the 3rd before he got cradled. Clark has wrestled competitively against 4 nationally-ranked kids this fall and taken them to the brink which is why he is a Columbia commit D1. www.flowrestling.org/video/6570503-130-lbs-semifinal-joel-vandervere-izzy-style-wrestling-vs-mason-clarke-coventry-high-school#4/#5 Fine/Joyce, I would give the edge to Fine here but it is a small edge, Fine is a 2X Nhsca AA, and I think as he grows into his body and fills out could be dominant in College, also a Columbia Commit D1, Joyce, however, might wrestle slightly better against ranked kids than Fine even though Fine has more local accolades, Joyce beat Grice Fargo AA #55 on the big board and went 5-2 at Super 32 beating NHSCA runner up Joplin in OT he also lost a close one at Journeyman in October to Adrian 5-4 who recently edged Fry last week at Chaves, Fine went 4-2 at Super 32 beating a PA placer and the Alaska champ, both wrestled well against ranked kids, Fine has more paper so he gets the nod! www.flowrestling.org/video/6570489-120-lbs-semifinal-michael-joyce-bears-wrestling-club-vs-hunter-adrian-doughboy-wrestlingGrifka and Faria are both exceptional athletes and should go D1 but when they wrestle on the national stage they do not fair as well as the above; yes both placed at NE’s but what happens when they leave New England; correct me if I am wrong but they do not have a win or even a great match against a nationally ranked or high caliber wrestler NHSCA’s was a wake up for Grifka he was teched and went 2-2 and Faria did not perform much better going 1-2 against wrestlers in there own age group! No defference to either kid but the above have accomplished more and should get the credit they deserve!

I said I do my research for kids ranked in state at each weight not P4P as I already said it’s more my opinion than anything else

Noah Robert from Cranston West should not be ranked. That gator roll from the front head lock never works.

2019-2020 power rankings NEW NUMBER ONE !!! With the rumors that Coppolino isn’t wrestling this year I’ve removed him from the rankings until he shows up this season. Middletown 285 Dean Florendo pinned Jennes at Marshfield Mass Tourney and should probably be ranked at 4th.
