Any one want to take a stab on how Rhode Island will do this upcoming weekend? RI has a real strong group of guys that can win it all this year. what do you think?

I would have to think Altieri (sorry if I butchered the spelling) as well as both of the Lebrie brothers as well as Neff could do well. Celico at 113 could do well also. I think in general, the top 3 from 120 could all do well this year. I agree with you methoz that RI should have a solid showing this year. I think BH and EWG should do well as a team.

I expect one of the best showings ever for RI. I hope both Labrie's win it. I also predict medals for Cardoda, Celico, Altieri, Davol, Beaduette, D'Aloisso, Howard, Dupre and Gallagher. Plus maybe more

Trackwrestling has Altieri down as a scratch as of this afternoon. Is it the shoulder?

Trackwrestling has Altieri down as a scratch as of this afternoon. Is it the shoulder? I overheard that his college coach does not want him hurting his shoulder. Too much to loose...

Where is altieri attending college out of curiosity? And if he indeed does not wrestle, does stamas from EWG go since he came in 4th? Thanks!

Yes William Penn, and Altieri popped his shoulder out in semis, went and got patched up and came back for finals, if wasn't for 4 years in a row, he may not have returned. But yes Stamas moves up as well Norby at 132, and the heavies move up.

195 - Sebestian Drez. from N.Providence I believe will place. I believe he is as good as Mt. Anthony's 195.

Are you sure about the 4th placers moving up? Just two or three years ago I thought the Council of New England Secondary Schools Principals' Association made a decision that if there were any scratches they just went to byes, that they would not move wrestlers up in state standings at the New England Championships. I think the justification was to keep the size of the tournament more manageable Can anyone tell me if that has changed?

Alternates couldn't just show up and hope. However is someone pulled out immediately after their state tournament, then alternates are allowed.

Thanks. I see from the brackets at TrackWrestling that these alternates are indeed in the tournament.
