RI projected to place 16 guys, would have to think that would be a record (by a lot)….

Think these are pretty solid rankings to go off but some of these local guys who are ranked won’t end up there. I see RI finishing with double digit placers, champs at 20,38, and HW.. some RI guys who I believe are flying under the radar and could go on a run include: Mccarthy 13, Viera 32, Pacheco 45, Hood 52, and Perez at 60. Don’t know how some of these guys were left off the rankings but they’ll all make some noise come march.

Here's the link to Max Schwartz's updated New England rankings, courtesy of Connecticut Wrestling Online. Max does a good job of explaining changes in the weightclasses. As with rankings on this site a lot of these changes occurred due to delayed receipt of matches that took place weeks ago. According to CWO there will be a final NE ranking issued Feb. 23. ctwrestling.com/2022/02/max-schwartzs-new-england-rankings-feb-9-2022/5238/

New England Champ Predictions 113 120 126 138 160 220 285 RI sends at some of these weights are tough but let’s not forget who else is in the bracket.. I expect all of these wrestlers to close the gap but the previous losses are worthy of noting. Paulino has beaten Ellis, Knox has beaten Myers, O’Dell has beaten Bouyssou, Bobola has beaten Zarrella. My guess is RI wins 120, 220,285 with high placements (2-3) at 13,26,38,60.

Bouyssou and O’Dell scheduled to hit in the semis. Gonna be a good one but I think Gabe takes it.
Hayden Meyers could have a Linder rematch in the semis (I believe that matchup is 1-1) then Knox in the finals.
Joyce and Botello scheduled for Quarters.
I think that RI will have 7 guys land in the Top 3.

Thanks Max these are well done and great to have I’d also like to share the team race on here so everyone can see it since I’m not sure why there is none on CTwrestling (I in no way operate the site): Team Scores Rank School State Wres. Rank (NO HMs) Points Prev. 1 St. John's Prep MA 4 101 - 2 Ponaganset RI 5 95 - 3 Xavier CT 5 79 5 4 Simsbury CT 4 73.5 7 5 Monty Tech MA 3 64 nr 6 Coventry RI 5 63 - 7 Timberlane NH 6 60 3 8 Fairifield Warde CT 4 55 4 9 Essex VT 3 54 10 10 Nashoba MA 2 54 nr HMs Hingham MA 2 52.5 Mattanwacook/Lee ME 3 48 Danbury CT 2 46 Bishop Hendriken RI 2 46 Algonquin MA 2 43 It’s a little jumbled but hopefully you can make it out! Let me know what you think! Can Pono take Coventry in the New England race after losing the state team title?

Thanks Max. I posted my predictions and observations under Serge's New England finalists post just now. I drew heavily from your rankings but unfortunately I got to 170 pounds before I found out that you had updated your rankings on ConnWrestlingOnline. So it's a little jumbled in the ranking references. It's also a bit more prolix than your entry. Feel free to compare and contrasts. I may do teams tomorrow but it won't be as detailed as estimating points.
