Good showing by RI wrestlers for the first day at New England Championships, with three teams in the top five. Ponaganset sits in 3rd with BH and Coventry tied for 5th. Pona has five wrestlers alive in the championship round (to the quarterfinals); they lost Andrews and Frenette was not entered for some reason. Coventry lost Clarke but their other four are all in the quarterfinals. Hendricken has three in quarters with Fine and Bailey in consolations. Merritt in consies too; CT & MA 126's just so good. But all three RI 138's in the final 8. Hopefully a lot of them win tomorrow morning getting into the semis. The brackets and results are on Floarena.

Is anyone going to record the finals like previous years? Just found out DiSano and Lynch are in the finals for a rematch at 138. Fry is in at 106.

Pono Wins it!!! Lynch NE Champ wins the grudge match over Disano!!!! McGill Crowned NE Champ Pins Kovacs in the Semi's!! Riggs Takes 3rd to help win the team title!! Fry Gets robbed in the Finals!!!! Tommy takes 2nd at 182!! Rivet loses a Heartbreaker!!! Delbonis takes 3rd !!! RI Place 3 of the top six teams in Pono, BH, and Coventry Great Showing for RI wrestling!!!
