How I see the team race in 2018!! Top 5 #1 Ponaganset Returns 7 of 9 placers, plus 2 good Freshman @ 106 and 113 both with placing potential! Potential Placers Cook,Joyce,Barber,Andrews,Lynch,McGill, Villanova,Frenette,Macomber,Riggs,Butler, Cirka #2 Coventry returns all their placers Fry, Clarke, Brown, Cataglirone,Young, and Metcalf 3# Hendricken loses New England champ Martino, but adds Fine 120 or 126 returns Rivet,Disano,Nappi,Icabucci,Williams Watch out for #4 Chariho could finish as high as second returning Merritt and Tommy W, transfer Bonnano, Dougherty brothers, Marchionne and Anderson #5 CUMBERLAND lost a lot of points but they add A. Faria to a good group of young guns!! And return Sangare, Reilly, Gillis, C. Faria, Kelly, and more!! Lasalle has three studs Fallon, Harrison, and Delbonis along with Pilgrim's 3 to round out the top 7 but not much outside of that! Woonsocket looks to be the D2 Team to beat! Should be a great season!!!

I bet Jacob Remolina (Coventry lightweight) will suprise a LOT of people this year. You didn't list him but I think he could potentially place higher than Young/Metcalf.
Villanova's gonna do damage this year for Pono kids a grinder.
Chariho should be interesting strong top of the lineup with Wrezesion and Merritt, with a lot of potential under that. Anderson has proven he can beat top wrestlers and I think Bonanno under performed at states last year, wouldn't be surprised to see him in the top 3 this year.
Don't sleep on LaSalle. I'm sure Regnault will do a great job running that team. Fallon will contend for a NE Title this year and Harrison/Delbonis should both be finalists if not state champs. McGovern will pace and theres a few more with a decent chance at placing as well.

I have been watching the proboards for several years and despite the fact that I don't have a horse in this race, I am always surprised that year after year, the rankings don't place Cumberland higher. Last year, the boards barely had Cumberland in the top teams. The reality is they continue to rank in the top three nearly every year and have won twice in recent history. This year I expect that their lower weights will clean up placing in top two or three. Passante, Reilly, Feria, and Gillis are among the best low weight wrestlers in the state. Several middle weights did quite well at JV States and the heavier weights are solid with Reynolds, Sangari, and a decent heavy weight who won JVs last year. Don't underestimate this team or their coaches. My prediction...they finish top 2.
