I can only assume many are moving up in weight. Certainly the lighter weights anyway. Also, Disano, Bloom, Rivet, Teves.... thinking Bloom and Rivet may stay the same but Disano and Teves may move up. Also, who's been putting in time in the off-season? And by off-season, I don't mean the last 3-4 weeks. The four guys mentioned no matter the weight class should be top contenders. Gaudiana LSA has been putting in work since the day last season ended. He's going to surprise a lot of people, look for him to be a real contender this year.

Forestier from Hope graduated
Lynch from pong should be ranked along with their 220.
Jeremy Baptista from Cumberland should be ranked. He should have been a new england place finisher but failed off last season. He would have entered states as the a-2 at 120. The season before, his freshman year, he placed 4th at 106.
Merritt, 9th grader, from Chariho will be ranked right after the South County Tournament
McDowell, from Woonsocket, place last season at 126, only a junior
The following two heavyweight should also be ranked - Jack Brayall from Lincoln - "choked" at states - took home a medal at every tournament he went to last season Dan Ayriyan from Smithfield - also earned a medal at every time, twice lost to the eventual state champ from Hope by only a couple points, couldn't enter state tournament because he got mono
Be careful of Hope, with their beat the streets program, both 170 Richard Trellis and 195 Oseas Lopez Giron should be solid. Giron only one match away from placing last season.
Rankings are all about potential, just because a wrestler couldn't make it to states, (thats half the battle) last season, they should still be considered top in their weight class this season

Lynch, Merrit, Fallon, Nappi, and Bautista, and others will all be ranked following the first weekend of wrestling i'm assuming. Just to keep things consistent I just did placement from last year minus the seniors. Merrit CHAR and Fallon LSA both freshman will be contenders from the get go I just didn't add freshman into these rankings. I'll add McDowell in I mistakenly took him out because I thought he graduated. Also regarding Baptista, Baptista and Gaudiana had two barn burners this offseason they split the matches 1-1 hopefully thats a matchup we see a few times this season.

While Im sure Merritt will be ranked at some point this season, I don't think the South County is a strong tournament that will carry much weight, unless he beats someone of significance. Forestier from Hope graduated Lynch from pong should be ranked along with their 220. Jeremy Baptista from Cumberland should be ranked.
