Nope just a middle school parent.
How does weight certification work in high school? In plain English could someone explain?

Athletes are "fat tested" where the take the students BMI and come up with a plan for them to reach their lowest weight (7% body fat). The athlete has till Jan 15 to make that weight in order to receive their certification and growth weight of plus 2.
We have growth starting Jan 1 like other states also have. Athlete needs to have 50% of weighins at weight.
If the athlete weighs in 2 weight classes above certified weight their cert is lost.

it of 84 place finishers last year 49 are coming back. including 11 finalist of 14 weights and 7 returning champs. RI looks strong
