Since the 2013/2014 is right around the corner I was curious what everyone's early season predictions are. What teams are early favorites for states? Teams on the rise? Wrestlers to keep an eye on, etc. I'd enjoy hearing everyone's thoughts and opinions! Should be a fun year!

That would be rather amazing. The Lebrie brothers are both going for 3x state champs as well. Any predictions for early favorite for team state champs?

I have to say hendriken. Ewg also has a good shot with the twins, neff and stamos def 3 state champs and a place finisher

Johnston has almost entire lineup returning.
I think will be in the mix again this season.
Probably a step below EWG and BH but you never know who steps up this year.

BH, Johnston, EWG have to be considered in there. M.H has some good guys coming back as well. 13, 20 , 26 will be great to watch with all those guys coming back. RI will be strong there. Looks like 45-70 will be congested with returning place finishers too. I cant wait for the season to start. I want to personally thank all the teams that are Joining us at Mt. Hope holiday Tourny. We think we have a pretty competitive day to kick off the season. Hope everyone has had healthy and productive off season.

plenty of freshman talent, teves, bloom, lundstun, lancaster all 4 will make noise. I'm prob missing another 2-3 kids that I'm forgetting.

If Cardoso makes 106 he wins it. None of the incoming freshmen are a threat there.
Rumor has it Bailey is wrestling at an out of state private school.
Is Matia Alvarez wrestling this year?

I'm sure we are forgetting some freshman, I'm sure some freshman have done work that we aren't aware of also. there are always a couple of surprises. I can't wait for the season start. we already had some surprising things with kids. gonna be a fun year. hope everyone is as excited as I am.

To north78, there's a freshman states tournament. It's the same day as the JV tournament at Coventry High School. It has all the regular weights and 100 pounds. I'm not sure of the date, but it's usually the weekend before D2 sectionals.
