The George Schmeider Fund
Rag Ball Tournament & Family Fun Day!
Saturday October 13th 8am-Dusk
City Park, Warwick, RI
We all know George! He has impacted your life in some way. He may be a member of your family. A friend you have known a long time or a co-worker. He may have been your child’s teacher or their coach! He may have been the man that you coached against! He needs our support!
George has been in the hospital fighting for his life since August 6th. He has tick borne encephalitis and his family needs our help and support to get him better! It is going to be long recovery for George. He needs lots of care and rehabilitation which he is currently receiving at Spaulding Rehab Center in Cambridge, Mass. His medical will pay for approximately 80%, but the rest of the expense will fall on his family.
We are asking that the community come together now to help get George back on his feet! As you know, we will not be able to keep him down long! This is how we can do it and have fun! Get your family together to come watch a Rag Ball Tournament and enjoy live music, dancing, food, GREAT RAFFEL PRIZES and “Kids Zone”! All proceeds will go to The George Schmeider Fund.
Admission to the Kids Zone will be $5.00. This will include bouncy house, temporary tattoos and arts & crafts. Hair extensions, face painting and bracelets will be additional.
Rhody Joes will be there dishing up some great food! While live music will be playing and you will be able to watch 24 rag ball teams compete for a GREAT cause!
