The kid that impressed me the most on the first day was not a kid that actually won his match. The kids name was Owen Glanville (sorry if I misspelled) Owen faced my son Serge in his first match and I have not seen many kids wrestle with the same toughness that kid showed in that match. I was so impressed with the way that kid refused to give in. Every person around me was also commenting on this kids toughness. He also handled his loss like a gentlemen no whining no crying, he kept his head up and carried himself with pride. I see a reflection of not just this kids family but also the great coaching staff at SK high school. I am always impressed by the product they are putting out year after year. You don't always have to get respect by winning and this kid Owen is a good example of that. Good luck to all and please feel free to post your own standouts for this event.

Well said Serge, SK always puts out tough hard nosed kids who always act with class and dignity. Great coaching staff over there.
