Coach will intentionally sit a wrestler at end of season to prevent him from getting the maximum power points. Though math needs to be very good and take in to consideration a lot of other moving pieces. Several coaches are very good at making sure they have the exact placement they want.

Cumberland def B Hendricken. Creamer nice win, Travers Lacroix and Boedette all looked good with wins. Fun match to watch both teams fought hard and it was good to see two of the top teams go at it

at 126 Noury Pon beat Thibeault Midd and lost to Travers TG. Shouldn't it go Travers, Noury, Thibeault in that order?

thing2... not necessarily. There's different ways to interpret those three. You could look at it your way, or you could think, Thibeault beat Travers, and Travers beat Noury- therefore it should go Thibeault Travers Noury. Not necessarily my opinion but it's all in the way you look at it.

at 126 Noury Pon beat Thibeault Midd and lost to Travers TG. Shouldn't it go Travers, Noury, Thibeault in that order? Noury is 1-0 against Thibeault Travers is 2-1 against Noury Thibeault is 2-0 against Travers. So we aren't talking about 1-1 situations though Noury beat Thibeault he lost twice to travers who lost twice to Thibeault. So I worked bottom up, travers ahead of Noury, Thibeault ahead of Travers. If Noury hadn't lost a second time to travers it would have been Noury Thibeault Travers

It was even nicer to see Johnston take down ponaganset tonite in thier house..... I wouldn't really equate the two... two undefeateds for the division in D1 vs two teams that have no division championship implications.

How does the seeding work for states clearly D1-1 is the 1 seed but is D2-1 the two seed?

How does the seeding work for states clearly D1-1 is the 1 seed but is D2-1 the two seed? No. Go to the brackets section scroll down and you will see sample brackets of where people come in. D2-1 in a conventional bracket lining would be a 6. Wrestles d1-3 In qtrs Here is last years the way it looks but has kids names put in. but you can see where each spot sits. www.riwrestling.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=brackets&action=display&thread=2268

Thanks for the help but that's kind of messed up wouldn't it just make sense to put him as a 2 seed instead he gets bumped down to a 6 seed even after wrestling through his sectional tournament.

Whether he is on the two seed line or the 6 seed line, they would still set it up so that he wrestles the DI - 4 in the Quarter finals. It is set up so that D1 vs. D2 in the quarters is 1 vs. 4 and 2 vs. 3, with the exception that the D2 3 and 4 are flipped (a change they made a few years ago because of an easier road in the consolation round after a loss in the quarters.
But again, the line that they sit on (the normal 6 seed line) makes no difference as the bracket still gives the same match up as if her were the "2 seed"
