Dan Smith of Coventry was the first 4x Rhode Island State Champ, If my memory serves me correct there has been only 3. Smith, Giblin, Meyers in that order.

Dan, a Coventry High senior, became the first four-time New England high school wrestling champion when he beat Angel Rivera of Springfield (Mass.) Cathedral 7-6 in the 125-pound-class final. His four-year record was 115-0-1.

John Altieri is on pace. If he wraps up one this year I wouldn't be surprised if he could pull away!

I believe Alteri could pull it off. He is really like a pit bull on the mat but to go also to go along with that he is just a great kid in general! I would love to see him do it.

Alvarez is at a different level then howard and alteri. but i also would like to see howard and alteri wrestle each other

Howard is a beast, he is wrestling better than ever , he has made a jump since the beginning of the season and even if Alverez shows up it isn't a shoe in. Alverez would be favored but one mistake and it could all turn around. Howard is the real deal.
