Returning Talent

John Altieri is probably one of my two favorite wrestlers in Rhode Island this year and one of my hopefuls beside Matia Alvarez to become our next four timer unless they face each other. They are both State Champions both New England place winners John finished sixth Matia fourth. Jacob Burrows is a tuff Townie and I want to see mature into his Senior year not only as a two timer but a New England place winner. Stephen Jarrell very tuff East Greenwich wrestler who had a great season 22-1 wrestled great in the states should also return to the finals and become a New England place winner. The other wrestler who is my favorite is Nick Salois. I have watch Nick train most of his wrestling career with his strength, talent and willing to give it his all he should repeat his State championship and turn his fifth place at the New England's to a first. Sophomore
Nikolis Zicuis from Linclon had that exciting overtime match at 215 and Sophomore Jonah Aurelio at 285 is another tuff Townie which if Zicuis gained weight or Aurelio lost that would be a great match. Just wanted to write in to see what everyone opinion is on the up coming season as I will be following my sons college career I will still be watching in the stands as I am a wrestling fan!

Also not to forget, Cody Beaudette - Cumberland sophomore. Nathan Colicci - Warwick Vets junior. Erik Travers - Cumberland junior. Tuff twin brothers Christian and Andrew LaBrie - Exeter/West Greenwich, sophomore. Tom Lacroix - Cumberland Senior. From watching this kid last year wrestle I think Aaron Travers - Toll Gate will be in the mix.

Your forgetting about some other tough and talented wrestlers such as Katelyn and Sergie Bouyssou, Mike Murphy, Mike Gelardi, Joan Vicante.

Yes I forgot about the best finals match that I have seen in a while Joao Vicente from East Providence. I thought for some reason he was a senior last year. If Katelyn could make 103 she would be Rhode Island first female wrestling champion. Sergie Bouyssou will be in the mix as usual he has probably gotten tougher faster and stronger. I also thought Mike Gelardi was a Senior last year. I think this year is his year I like that kid. Murphy is another tuff North Providence kid I though about but depending what weight he goes and what type of training he has been doing in the off season. He should be in the mix with the others. He always wrestles tuff in the New Englands. Devin Hurst is another tough kid I forgot to mention. If he goes 125 again he should make a lot of noise be in the finals and win.
