Friday, July 8 - Saturday, July 9
NEW FOR 2011• Open to athletes in bordering states without a recognized state games wrestling competition which includes Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. • In addition to individual competition, tournament will include a Massachusetts club championship. Awards will be presented to club with most participants and an additional award will be given to the club with the highest point total based upon results of competition.
LOCATION
University of Massachusetts Boston - Boston, MA
ELIGIBILITY
Participants must be a resident, full-time student at a school, or a full-time member of a wrestling club based in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.
AGE DIVISIONS
Juniors: Grades 5 & 6 or Grades 7 & 8
Scholastic: Grades 9-11, and under age 19
Open: High school seniors or age 19 and older*All ages are as of July 8, 2011, and all grades are as of the 2010-2011 academic year
WEIGHT CLASSES
There will be various weight categories offered in each division
FEATURES•
Competition hosted in an air-conditioned facility• All participants receive Summer Games T-shirt• Medals are awarded to the top three in each age division and weight class and top clubs in participation and overall score• Award jackets are presented to a percentage of top finishers in each weight class• The competition is a FOLKSTYLE tournament
