Reg deadline is March 27, Coaches meetings on Tuesday, March 29, Kid weigh ins, and wrestling begins Wednesday, March 30 to Friday, April 1. $45.00 reg fee.

I have that in mind, but it will have to be next year. Not ready this year. Lots of work still to be done.

Glad to see Alvarez is going, great kid and wrestler! Mr. Alvarez, the dates you have posted are for the freshman, soph. and jr. divisions. The senior division weigh ins and coaches meeting are on the 31st with wrestling starting on April 1st (the middle school and elementary event is also the same dates as senior). Here is the website for all information, the wrestling events are listed at center right of the page under "Upcoming events" www.nhsca.com/ I will be going but probably for the senior event only (depending who from MQ is going). Should be fun! |

This is an extreamly tough tournament for the seniors because everyone that goes to it has won a state tournament in the past. I went in 2008 and got my ass handed to me by the kid who placed fourth in the nation. Stay in shape if you plan on going... this is for college bound wrestlers for sure.

RI wrestlers at Virginia Beach Nationals - Everett Desilets & Derek Adams Senior division,
Jaxon Thibeault - Sophomore division, Matia Alvarez - Freshman division, Max Oconnell-middle school division...This is premier tournament with the best of the best participating. My hat is off to all those mentioned--they competed every time they took the mat - they represented themselves, thier state and their clubs very well. This tournament is another level but they showed courage and confidence to compete with the best---I am impressed with all of them...they move to another level with their determination to compete against the best in the nation...Kudo's and congratulations to all of you---Max...congratulations on becoming a middle school all american...
