We were successful today in convincing URI to keep the wrestling team on as part of club sports. We now have some fundraising to do to erase the debt that was built up over the last few years. Our big fundraiser is going to be a golf tournament to benefit the wrestling team. We're looking to get the whole RI wrestling community involved on this. If your interested in golfing in the tournament or you are anyone else wants to get involved with or help out our team send me an email at nick63358@aim.com so I can keep you updated on everything that is going on. We hope that this will be the start of a successful wrestling team at URI that will give a lot of RI wrestlers the opportunity to wrestle competitively beyond high school.
