ESPN360.com and the National High School Coaches Association (NHSCA) have reached an agreement to offer wrestling fans live coverage the 2009 Senior National High School Wrestling Championships presented by U.S. Navy exclusively on ESPN's broadband sports network for the very first time. State title holders and top 4 finishers of the more competitive states will face off at the Virginia Beach Convention Center in this pinnacle competition event for high school wrestling.
The event will air live on ESPN360.com on Sunday April 5 from 7-9 p.m. ET, and will be followed by a 30-minute highlight show that will air on ESPNU in July.
“This is a great day for the NHSCA and scholastic wrestling,” said Bob Ferraro, executive director, NHSCA. “Our new relationship with ESPN360.com provides more opportunity to promote and celebrate the achievements of top caliber high school student-athletes and their coaches that will be participating in our championship events.”
