Coaches should, it's not that big a deal to make a phone call or email the journal. They do have 24 hrs to report to the RIIL, but some like to hide the results from other teams

As for ties, I believe the criteria for a tie has been removed and a tie is simply marked down as a tie. Personally, I prefer using the criteria. If there is a way to determine a winner, why not use it.

I have been told that the no tie rule has been removed from RI HS wrestling and there is no more criteria. I can't confirm it 100% but I believe teams are allowed to officially end a dual meet in a tie this season.
