middle school wrestlers lack......time on the mat. Tournament experience is also limited. The answer to these problems is as close as your local USA wrestling club, with tournaments almost every Sunday where you can walk away with from 2 to 5 matches all right in your back yard. Check it out the only thing that will happen is that you will get better. See you there.

They lack exposure to good wrestling. Rhode Island is one of the only New England States that does not have a National Middle School Team with a coach that has the type of experience to train a team to travel. Going to RIWA Tournaments every Sunday facing the same kids for the entire season isn't preparing anyone for anything. If our Middle School program is suppose to be prepping our wrestler for High School to face Nationally experienced New England competition we are in trouble.

I would like to know where these nationally experienced New england youth wrestlers are at because we would go and wrestle them.Oh thats right Ri and Ct are the only NE states that have any youth wrestling structure. Maybe wrestling the same group of kids every week sux but its alot better than what our neighbors have.

Thanks for reafirming what I just said. with out a club sytem in place those elite wrestlers would never have had the chance to test their skills and compete with more experienced wrestlers from around the region and nationally.

If I am not mistaken he is an assistant coach at Brown University and The Iranian Freestyle National Champion some many times over. I am not sure about his folk style experience.
