IMHO this is the second-toughest in-season wrestling tournament in New England each year, behind only the Lowell Holiday Tournament, with teams like NE power Danbury, CT and perennial NH champ Timberlane as well as many of the top Maine squads. Cumberland and North Providence brought full teams and had a lot of placewinners to show for their efforts, with Cumby placing fifth and NP eighth in the large 30 team field (counting "B" squads). The Clippers didn't have a finalist but placed an impressive eight grapplers, again showing great team balance. The Cougars had a finalist in Will Soe at 106, losing only to Danbury's third ranked in NE Christian Pote, and had three other placers.
