Summer is coming up. Here's a list of good young adult books about our sport. Reading is a great way to improve scholastic performance and broaden one's horizons. For teens who don't think about anything but wrestling, maybe these reads will open a door.
Anderson, Glenn, "A Brown Bag Lunch" (my all-time favorite)
Benjamin, E.M.J., "Takedown" [1999]
Conifer, Dave, "Throwback" [2004]
Connely, Neil, "St. Michael's Scales" [2002]
Davis, Terry, "VisionQuest" [198*]
Martino, Alfred, "Pinned" [2005]
Provenzano, Jim, "Pins" [1999]
Wallace, Rich, "Wrestling Sturbridge" [1997]

Thanks for mentioning my novel, Pinned. I think readers will find that it is the most realistic, most intense wrestling novel ever written. Sincerely, Alfred C. Martino www.AlfredMartino.comacm7673@msn.com
