As was already reported in the Powerpoints section Bishop Hendricken beat Mt. Anthony last Friday 40-26. I think it's the first time BH has beaten MAU in their annual duels, going back at least 5 years. Three years ago when they N.E. champs the meet was cancelled due to weather. It's hard to piece together what happened the next day when Coventry, Cumberland, and teams from New Hampshire and Connecticut joined in. Trackwrestling has been maddeningly sketchy, and I've pieced together what I can from other publications.
From the Bennington Banner : Hendricken 40, Mt. Anthony 26 (2/1/19)
120 BH by forfeit (Fallon? Iacobucci?)
126- Nate Williams (BH) tech fall Kyle Hurley, 4:00
132- BH by forfeit (I assume Guererro)
138- Keenan Taylor (MAU) pinned Nick Fine, 0:57 (the article described it "after a terrific scramble by both wrestlers;" probably impacts NE rankings)
145- Keegan Coon (MAU) dec. Matthew Maroney, 8-1 (apparently Maroney fought off being majored and MAU was deducted a penalty point)
152- Nathan Reid (BH) dec. Gage McLaughlin, 7-5 (back and forth match, four lead changes; McLaughlin earlier ranked 16th in NE)
160- Adam Frost (MAU) pinned (I assume Kuprevich), 1:05
170- (I'm assuming Eubanks, BH) dec. Stephen Brillon, 10-4
182- Chris Mayer (MAU) dec. Dillon Swanson, 4-3 (another back and forth match, reversal in last few seconds; Mayer recently returned from injury as well)
195- Sam Wilkins (MAU) pinned (Antonelli, probably), )0:43 (match tied at this point; Wilkins defending NE Champ)
220- Cameron Bailey (BH) tech fall Dakota Blair, (no time or score)
285- (gotta be Betancur, BH) pinned Hayden Gaudette, 2nd period
106- Landon David (MAU) dec. (assuming Zabbo), 6-0 (the decision effectively ended the match)
113- (probably Sclama, BH) pinned Sam Blackman, 0:23
Pretty close match with Mt. forfeiting two weight classes, unusual for them, but at weights where BH had stout entries.
The next day . . .
I can't determine all the matches but it looks like MAU beat Coventry, Cumberland and someone else. According to the Banner Frost, Taylor and Brillon went 3-0, and Coon went 2-1. I'm assuming that his one loss was to Caltagirone; anyone know for sure? And Wilkins was only 1-0; did he face Sangare by any chance? I'm not sure there were any other interesting individual match-ups among these three top tier NE teams. BH beat Xavier (8th ranked in Connecticut) 42-24, and Xavier beat Coventry (no score or individual results, these last two from ctwrestling.com). That's all I can determine. Nashua and Keene, NH were there, and also South Windsor, CT. Oh yeah, Northfield Mount Hermon, a top flight prep school from MA was there. For some reason Track does have all the results from the Mt. H matches on 2/2 (and only theirs), including the three RI teams. Cumberland and Hendricken edged Mt. H while Coventry lost a close one. I believe Mt. Hermon does allow post-grads on its roster. I'll trying to reproduce the box scores below. Trackwrestling does not transition well.

CUM- 38, NMH- 33
26: Noah Burstein (NMHS) over Colby Reilly (Cumb) (Fall 4:29) 132: Quintyn Salisbury (Cumb) over Liam Finn (NMHS) (Dec 4-0) 138: Aidan Turner (Cumb) over Alec Nevins (NMHS) (MD 12-4) 145: Aidan Faria (Cumb) over Hunter Hockensmith (NMHS) (Dec 9-5) 152: Charles McLaughlin (NMHS) over Matthew Maguire (Cumb) (Fall 7:23) 160: Aiden Hanning (NMHS) over Tyler Shaw (Cumb) (Dec 4-0) 170: Gunnar Garriques (NMHS) over Adam Kulacz (Cumb) (Fall 4:18) 182: Jakob Mastalerz (Cumb) over William Cha (NMHS) (MD 9-1) 195: Kaream Sangare (Cumb) over (NMHS) (For.) 220: Yaraslau Slavikouski (NMHS) over John Doe (Cumb) (For.) 285: Philip Coppolino (Cumb) over Melvin Mercado Bulacia (NMHS) (Fall 4:28) 106: Corbin Dias (Cumb) over (NMHS) (For.) 113: Brady Gillis (Cumb) over Tristan Keyser-Parker (NMHS) (Fall 1:54) 120: Jake Shaifer (NMHS) over James Rydberg (Cumb) (Fall 1:14)
Some interesting match-ups with a team that won't be in the interscholastic New England championships. Hendricken won by 6 with forfeits at 106 and 195, not two of their stronger weights, though they did have to forfeit Swanson's weight. Kuprevich, Eubanks and Bailey were all pinned; who is Yaraslau Slavikouski??? Coventry hung close with two double forfeits in their problematic upperweights, but then NMH moved Slavikouski to 285 and they won on his pin. The crucial match may have been 126 where Noah Burstein edged Remolina (and also pinned Reilly and held Williams to 3-0). Cumberland solved the Slavidouski problem by wrestling Coppolino at 285 when presumably NMH put Slavidouski out at 220. Philip pinned and Cumby got 18 points in three of the last four matches for the win.
If anyone has any other results for this weekend event, especially bout scores, please pass them along. The Mt. Anthony Duals are probably as good as any dual meets that occur in New England.
