I watched the Maguire match with the bite, but didn't actually see the bite. I only saw Rutherford's reaction afterwards. What are the rules regarding biting? Does the official have to see the actual bite happen? Or do they just have to see bite marks? If they reach a conclusion just based on bite marks, how do they know it wasn't self inflicted? I have seen bites before in matches and just saw the match forfeited not all of the team points. When is it appropriate to forfeit team points?

Sorry for the delay in moderating this thread. Folks, It's been moderated, we just can't moderate 24/7. I'm pretty sure all was good up till page 45, there's only a few moderators left and it's not like there are alerts setting our phones off. Just be patient, as for others lets keep it real in here.

So do y’all think Maguire really bit Rutherford? Everyone on her has seemed ambiguous about it but who really saw??

I saw Rutherford today and his finger has an infection where he was bit he was actually bitten hard enough to break the skin. Unfortunately sometimes in the heat of the moment people make decisions they wouldn’t normally make. In answer to your question yes he was definitely a bit. So do y’all think Maguire really bit Rutherford? Everyone on her has seemed ambiguous about it but who really saw??

Coppolino is a junior but he is not a first year wrestler. If you mean first year varsity wrestler, then yes. But he won JV states last year

But he won JV states last year Tilts said he was a first year wrestler and I was responding to that, thanks for clearing things up. I think Baily is also a junior and these two are going to be the ones to watch in this weight class next year. Both are very talented!

What RI wrestlers seem to have the easiest path to placing, seems like a lot of kids got first round Bis from RI.

Going to be a good weekend of wrestling . Also how about a pound for pound update , seeing that Caltagirone is 3x state champ and New England place finisher , Fry 2x state champ and New England finalist , Riggs 2 x state champ and New England place finisher , Clarke 2 x state champ , Ben From Chariho 2 x state champ, and Fallon 2 x state champ and New England place finisher They are well deserve to be pound for pound

Grifka should be part of your P4P Hopefully this doesn't put a black eye on RI wrestling. Story getting national attention www.flowrestling.org/articles/6380224-this-was-flagrant-misconductOne bad ref call shouldn't categorize all RI refs. We have some of the best in NE. However, refs should not be club coaches. Why put yourself in that situation? Please choose one - ref or coach How about you focus on using one username instead of creating numerous posts involving the same situation under different usernames. As of now RIHawk, Hopefan, Hicpunch and 2 pounds over are all associated to you and all have been used this season. Voice your opinion and move on, having conversations with yourself, like you have in other posts, is nonsense.

I agree Grifka definitely needs to be in the P4P rankings. He beat the kids who placed 3rd, and 4th on his way to placing 2nd at NE’s. He definitely didn’t get an easy draw on his way to the finals. He also beat Gregorian twice this year who placed 5th at NE’s. Kids the real deal.

That kid who is also a junior like Grifka started wreslting in 2nd grade, don't know about Grifka but I'm sure these two will meet again as seniors and that's gonna be another great match!
