Well, I just did a very detailed thread on last weekend's Mt. Anthony Union (VT) duals but lost it when I tried to preview it, so here's the short and sweet-ish from The Bennington Banner and from Connecticut Wrestling Online. Hendricken, Cumberland and Coventry all lost to MAU, by 35-27, 57-17 and 49-18, respectively. Coventry beat 8th-ranked in CT Xavier 35-24 on criteria (most wins) and Cumberland dominated Xavier 48-24. I don't know who else the RI teams faced, but MAU beat Nashua North and South Windsor (CT) by even wider margins and Xavier beat St. Johnsbury (VT) so I'm guessing the RI teams beat some of those others.
In the BH-MAU match-up the Hawk's winners were Rivet, Arcand, McGrew (I think it was him, WBFORF), Iacobucci, Williams and Disano. Rivet beat Tyler Burgess 3-2, who is ranked 5th in N.E. and was 6th last season at 152. Disano majored VT No. 1 McLaughlin at 138, and Fine lost 7-2 to MAU's Kevin Taylor who is ranked 2nd in N.E. and won Lowell.
No write-up on the Cumberland-Mt. Anthony match but for Coventry I know that 4th in N.E. Seth Brown beat 8th ranked Noah Call 3-1 at 132, and Caltagairone beat McLaughlin 6-5 with a let-up and take-down in the final 30 seconds after two penalty points erased a 2 point 3rd period lead. Young lost 6-4 at 145 against VT No. 1 Keegan Coon and Taylor beat Coventry 14-3 at 126. I don't know if that was Mason Clarke; does anyone have knowledge of that match? Let us know if you have any of the Cumberland-Mt. A results as well.
