Heres a list of retruring State Placers and other kids who should be in mix this yr. Not sure who would be returning at weight or moving up. Just a guess at this point. Feel free to declare wt. classes or mention freshman who should be in the mix. This list ALSO does not include any freshman..If any of these are seniors, post it. Does anyone know what teams moved up this year and who moved down? Any freshman talent coming up? I see Hughes went down in weight from last year and switched schools also Moralas switching schools. Cranston west may have a pretty good line up this year. Pono still has a solid line up does anyone know if Jarret will crack that line up this year he’s definitely a NE qualifying wrestler. Be interesting to see how things line up as the season rolls out. Some of these kids have just done some off season tournaments. Bellini at 132. I see some talented wrestlers at Pono scrambling to fit in that varsity line up.

As far as moving divisions, Scituate and Central moved to D1. Chario moved to D2. Idk about any other moves.

Lots of great wrestling happened this weekend at the Veterans All American! Gives you a good idea where several wrestlers are at. Multiple RI kids won the showcase event and the regular high school event was great wrestling too! Congratulations to all that competed!

Not arguing just questions for debate/ clarification.
In terms of names biggest was heard Diorio is absolutely not dropping to 215 and from inside the TF room he beats up everyone including Kaz. Was also told the Jones brothers will be wrestling each other off for 285 as neither can make 215. At 138 thought Wirtz from TG graduated be interesting to see who stays 138/144/150 lots of hammers... one thing we both must be hearing Jarret pushing out Billy... does he break ponos lineup anywhere this year? Who is Mancini and Bowry from west Zulu from CE and Schneider from Lasalle? Akdemir loses to Richardson at veterans but Richardson never beat Iaciofano from LSa? Can someone else confirm if Denzel Monteiro is returning to Hopes lineup the 106 state champ from 2023. Also sameMorales from Johnston is at CW now? lastley Acosta from central pushed out at HW?

I was hearing Diorio is going 215, Wirtz is a senior this year, Mancini won freshman states last year at 138, Bowry was cranston wests 113 who is going up in weight, zulu was hurt last year from east, richardson has been making jumps in the off season as we saw from most of his tournaments, haven’t seen iaciofano wrestle a tournament since nationals, morales transferred to cranston west from what im hearing. |

Watch Wirtz, Iron Faith has done a great job with this young man. He made the Consi Simi Finals @ The Super 32 Qualifier @ 146lbs (JWU) in September. Great improvement over the summer, good job kid! I don't see him @ 138lbs and I could be wrong. I see him @ 144 and those last two spots for N.E is going to be some crazy battles in this weight class.
