Very good question but impossible to answer without more data. The strength has not peaked at 80lbs, without the strength we have no idea about real mental toughness and showing up daily for competition. Using technique on kids that have little to no wrestling ability is the same as doing it on a grappling dummy.
I will ask you a question that is impossible to answer. Do you think Collardo or Barry have the physical and mental toughness to wrestle with Nickerson? I do not think either one would have the toughness to beat Cole right now. Nothing against either wrestler , actually think they are both studs but hard to tell where they fall yet.
Unless any have big wins on national stage, nationally ranked, …. almost impossible to differentiate which is why I believe you need to add in heavier kids to make it realistic.

I just looked at some wrestling archives and it seems like at least 2 of the wrestlers you mentioned do have points against them in middle school.

Oh one of those kids. How does anyone know that by looking at the record books? Do we include a footnote like “we were playing games with first year wrestlers “ or maybe say “the points given up were against grappling dummies”

I haven’t been on here for a long time because it is mind boggling to me that adults are criticizing middle school and high school athletes socially. All of these kids are great wrestlers whether they are takedown cutting or pinning everyone. For those of us that have assumptions as to who is posting about these athletes why don’t you walk up to them and ask them in person. This is sad that adults are hiding behind computer screens and making assumptions. If you have something to say to me I’m Joao Vicente Jr I coach at Coventry High-school and have been here for 8 years. I’ve done a lot of good for many athletes in all different cities in the state. My username is my name because I don’t hide behind screens what I would post on here I would say in person.
