Cranston West took a Loss tonight to Cumberland 33-37, Great match up coming down to the last second.
Some matches that could have changed it are, Dominic schavolie at 132 as he was up against Sam Almeida 5-0 in the first when he was elbowed to the face and injury defaulted.
Another win would have been at 126, Anthony decotis was injured due to broken toe and could not wrestle a match that looked like it would have been a pretty easy win.
The score would have been about 42-28 if all went well. West seems to be getting it together after also upsetting Ponogansett Last night

Can someone post the result of Torres v Robichaud when it happens? It’s too bad Hope vs Cov isn’t being streamed, one of the best matches of the year. Robichaud beat Torres 7-2. Amazing match , Final score 49-22 Coventry over Hope.

Big win for PONO Hood over Conlan 11-0! with that win, Pono has to be clear favorites in terms of state tournament scoring. IMO.. Champs at 6,20,45,52 along with support from finalists at 26,38, and 60. 7 finalists should seal it… Can Reall beat cooper at 45?

Topgame3, that’s some of the most ridiculous revisionist history I’ve ever heard. Cumberland beat Cranston West in the dual meet last night 37 to 33. Cranston LOST. All duals come down to key matches that “could have gone” either way.
There was NO “elbow to the face” in the 132 matchup. Almeida and Schavalle butted heads. Schavalle was concussed; end of match. Decotis “would have won?” at 126? Would of, could have, should have. Weird and illogical. Cranston won its 126 match anyway,… and LOST the dual.

Why is Aidan Robichode ranked so low at 132, I feel like he should be favored after a great season last year I was thinking the same, Robichode is much more proven at that weight class compared to Swaim and Torres. I also think some d2 guys are getting overlooked at 32 as well. Nonetheless Robichode should be higher than 3 [/quote] and hmmmmm look who was right. Some of you old heads don’t know a thing about real talent. Robichode 🔛🔝

They had to Move around there line up because they did not have a 126 and there JV still won, Not moving around there line up would have won them there 113 match with a predicted finalist at that weight class Cameron Davis and on top of that would have still had the points they already got, Also no matter what the situation was with the 132 match if there was no concussion, There was a very good chance west would have won. There was also no upsets at all.

I've been waiting for them to put up the team box score. It's hard to tell with no updated standings, but pretty sure both teams, Hope & Coventry, were both undefeated heading into that dual meet.
On another note, EP is dominating Div 2 and expecting them to win sectionals pretty easy.

Johnston , EWG & Lincoln challenge with full line up with Mt P and Central as the dark horses. . EP wins head to head against all of them but seeding is gonna be the story. I can only see 120 as the 1 seed for EP Anyone have the ability to put together potential finalist for sectionals?

Due to objectivity rules I’m limiting this to an opinion, but Nameek Viera is going to shake some things up at 132. Bracket buster for sure

Because there is a sectional, it's going to be hard for Nameek Viera to shake things up. No one in Div 2 or Div 3 at 132 is ranked. Hell prob end up being the #1 seed with special circumstance. He'll win sectionals then go on the B1 line where he belongs. If there was no sectionals and he got seeded very low at state, then he could shake up the bracket.
I see where your coming from because he's not ranked. But Lincoln didn't have a season last year and he just came back. He needs to beat someone on the list to get ranked. With all the tourneys being canceled, that's not his fault. Both CW and Lincoln were teams listed to go to Smithfield on that beautiful Saturday last week.

Agreed, I just don't think your bracket buster if you have a previous state medal, and win sectionals. I wouldn't count not being ranked on this forum as a bracket buster. I think everyone would agree,he has a chance to to atleast qualify for NE. Now his teammate, Mooney, who might finish 3rd or 4th at sectionals, with no previous state medal, he could be a bracket buster at 120

All I’m saying is for the 113 pound weight class peyton Ellis is going to have a hard match against pono, maybe we will see the closest match he will have this season.

Also on the topic of Coventry, I did some research and Stone Farnsworth was pinned somewhere out of state, therefore him and Billy should have a very good match during states or their meet.
