I think 152 is a little off.
1 bonanna Chariho 2 Bennett Mt. Hope 3 Ford NK / crawford Mt. Pleasant 5 Hellman EP 6 Rutherford Cranston East
Hellman beat Rutherford 6 - 0 and lost to boanno 3 - 1
Rutherford pinned maguire and lost 6-0 to Hellman
Ford also pinned maguire, and beat crawford once in a close match.
Crawford pinned ford the first time they meet, but lost the second time in a close match. Side note crawford was very sick the second time they met, and was significantly injured from a match he had earlier that day. Thats why i have them both at #3. Crawford has beaten Rutherford and lost by minor decision to bonanno
Bennett has beaten Ford, Reid, And Rutherford all by points. I'd say he's number one but he has a wrestled Bonanno. They will wrestle this week on 1/17. That will really tell us who is number one.
Bonanno has beaten Hellman, Crawford, and has won the NK, Wilson cup tournament;ford was there. He also did well down in Florida. He was very close to placing in a tough tournament
I didn't put Reid or McGuire in the mix because they have no significant wins this year over anyone on this list.

How does special circumstance work? Does it go by last years accomplishments or by career? Falloon missed another week of dual meets. He didnt place at states last year. He hasnt beaten lynch, zarella or joyce this year. Does he automatically get top 3 or should he have to beat one of them first? I know he's legit but does special circumstance considers last year or career?

I HM Hellman because I see that he's good just has no/little quality wins but is tough. When he won some good matches I was going to shift him up. Ford and Bennet has been on a tear this year Bennet I think is the better one right now. Should leave them alone until the 17th. Reid is wrestling good still. One match away from placing at Sam Cali. Although he hasn't had good RI wins yet I think he's okay to stay 3rd and ford/Crawford 4th. McGuire placed at the Cumberland tourney he seems inconsistent but Rutherford has the head to head so maybe him 6 and HM McGuire. Cant sleep on Pacheco WW state placer just has no quality wins so I can't really rank him yet. I think leave it as is for now But you have great points 152 is DEEP. I'll consider your adjustments.

I see what you are saying hicpunch. That is very interesting. I always thought it was only the year before, however given what happened last year I think a extension to the year before might.

The rules are the rules. If Fallon didnt place last year and doesn't have any wins over any of the top 3 guys (when powerpoints are first presented) There is no base for him to be placed over a top 3 guy. Let him become the first a-9 guy to win states.
3 factors
1 - does the special circumstances commitee see it this way?
2 - would they vote no to special circumstances
3 - does Fallon even going 120. Maybe he didnt wrestle so that he can have enough weigh ins for 113.

It is comical how people are so dependent on rankings and no one realizes how these actually damage the wrestlers who feel like they are being judged by adults. Ok adults carryon. Rankings are done allnofe the country in every sport! If kids cant handle some rankings and realize themselves that anyone can beat anyone at any given time, then they shouldn't even be in sports! Stop being soft and let kids grow people need to stop babying all these kids.... But the adults are the ones who are obsessed with them and are constantly talking about kids. They should just let the kids wrestle and stop appointing numbers and let them earn their place. If anyone is a baby it is grown adults.

Fallon probably doesn’t think much about seeding. #1, #2, #3 and #4 probably care more. The rules are the rules. Hendricken beat pono 39-28. The only change in the lineups were fine and maroney switching weights and villanova bumping to 152. Hendi also beat mt hope but I dont know the score Trackwrestling now has the box scores for BH against both Ponagansett and Mount Hope. No real surprises at Pono, it mainly came down to whether Bailey could beat Cirka again so soon. Against Mt. Hope besides A. Bennett beating Reid, Grifka also beat Swanson; both matches should impact rankings and seeding. The bigger match was Mallon beating Schlama. Pinning him in the first period.

Fallon is the best kid in that weight class in all of New England so I think that he can deserves the number 1 seed it maybe not be that way for the state tournament but it doesn’t matter he is pound for pound best wrestler in Rhode Island.
