Thank you guys. Are forfeits calculated in this power points system? Yes. They are a win and bonus points like a match as +6. So a forfeit at weight is worth 36 points. Coaches have whole formula sheets they need to fill out for their seeding meetings. I took a picture of one but its old and the state and New England placement points are incorrect I believe Attachments:

Does head to head record have anything to do with seeding at states? For example if wrestler 1 beats wrestler 2 during the season and they both end with the same record but wrestler 2 ends up with more power points will wrestler 2 still get the #1 seed even though he had lost to wrestler 1?

In a nutshell, all wrestlers are listed by power points from highest to lowest. We then seed the wrestlers from the bottom up. If the wrestler on the bottom beat the guy above him he can climb higher, if he did not he stays put. So a wrestler w/ the most power points does not automatically get the 1 seed he could drop to 3, but there are a few more things to the meeting, but that is the process.
