bishp hendricken had almost half of the freshman team place top 5. they had 5 or 6 kinds in the finals. John aruda and John Grasso wrestled up a weightclass and still managed to place 2nd in their weight class.

I would have to give celico vs oconell the best match. They match up real well. Caparco vs Jacobsen was also a great battle.

idk, i found Celico-Oconnell very boring. low scoring match and not a lot of action most of the match was just riding

The Celico O,connel match was slow, Celico wrestled smart , Celico's take down at the end of the first period came debatably a second too late, (different ref different result perhaps) the mistake his coach made was putting him on the bottom , Celico has wrestled oconnell 3 times and taken him down 3 times if his coach wasn't going to defer (which he should have done) he should have picked neutral and given Celico the opportunity to take him down, not to take anything away from O'connell he wrestled well enough to win the match, 1 point or 15 points a win is a win. As the back up 106 and 113 for Hendricken Celico wont get the opportunity to wrestle O'connell again

A tie score at the end of regulations goes to OT, at the end of OT in sudden victory, the 1st point scored in has choice in the last :30 tie breaker. A HUGE advantage to have. That would be the reason that a coach doesn't defer, and elects to have his wrestler at advantage to score 1st. NOW, without knowing the scoring history between these 2, I imagine Celico has escaped from O'Connell before in they're 3 previous matches, so an escape PLUS his previous experience w/ taking down O'Connell would be a 3-0 advantage. Thats the path any good coach would have gone. Unless the opponent has dominated the other on top. Another point of view

Celico has not escaped from O'Connell, and O'connell is best on top and Celico's coach witnessed that just 2 nights before when O'connell beat his varsity 106. Celico is capable of taking any 106 in the state down at any point and has demonstrated that all season. IMHO he should have defered and choose according to the score at the beginning of the 3'd. Celico up he takes bottem, Celico down and he takes neutral.
