I find it very refreshing that the girl who is the topic of so much discussion on this board has the maturity to not respond to any of the things said about her. Way to go Kaitlyn.

don't bother K, it is unreal...when I heard what was said to you and verified by others, I just shook my head. What you have done has been great - it amazes me that folks jump on you cause of gender when I see stuff happen all the time with others....hang in there and do YOUR thing....listen to your dad, argue, fight, talk with him and do what is best.....don't even deal with the drama - so many people are so sad...hang in there....

I've seen kaitlyn at matches and tournaments, and she's always been respectful. I see a hard worker, who's dedicated to winning. People complain about her over aggresiveness, and call it cheap, but if it were a male wrestler, he be called a bad @$$. She has punished many of my 103's, on the mat she's all business, but off the mat she's all lady. Don't worry about what people say, just do what you do. My thoughts are if you don't like what I'm doin don't watch, if you don't like what I'm saying don't listen.

I made a comment the other night, just wanted to clarify. I strongly feel there is a pattern with Kaitlyn and the eye poking, hopefully it will stop. With that said, I do apologize for offending Kaitlyn and anyone else. I do see her as a great competitor, and good sport off the mat. I do not want to feed into the 'classless parent". I was unaware of what happened during the semi match with beaudette. I have complete respect for serge and his daughter and what they have accomplished with many young men and women in this sport. I see my mistake in making that comment. Again, my apologies.

Who ever ever talks down to or about Kaitlyn, is honestly trash. She is one of the most classiest people i know, and takes so much just for being in this sport. I can't see one other person doing and taking what she does. She's going so far in life and is an amazing person. Love the girl to death.

Heck she's tough as nails I have tremendous respect for her after watching semis and consi finals match. Obviously hurt she wouldn't throw in the towel and kept giving it her all. Congrats for the toughness you show and good luck next year.

y would any adult fans boo any teenage athlete is beyond me , never mind a injured young girl wrestling with an injury which obviously hurt her chances at winning... and not in one match did she quit or throw in the towel , she kept getting up limping back to the center and giving it her best.
i dont know how her father kept his cool..
she is an inspiration to all athletes..

How come there is no seperate post about Vicente great match? Or alveraz possibly on the road to be among only three other wrestlers who win four state titles? Or impressive performance of freshman Carl neff fininshing third at 189 knocking off potential state champ for third? I feel there is a lot of great things to discussed besides katlyn just saying

With respect to everyone my opinion is she just wants to be considered equal which us true fans of RI wrestling already consider her...Im sure she is sick of all this too...(the same goes for Vicente, Meyers, Alvarez who are probably sick of it as well) These wrestlers are true champs and strive to see their names at the top of brackets not FORUMs!!! So lets stop all these pointless and random posts which SHOULD be deleted by the editor...and get back to the good stuff like NE's, Summer Wrestling, and RI Wrestling as a whole. great job this past weekend to everyone who competed you represented your schools well!!!

Nobody says you can talk about anything you want. Why do you really care if there is a post about Katelyn? If you do not like it don't read it go post about something you like. I do noy understand why some continue to try to slam Katelyn. This subject was originaly brough up by all the negative comments. Then You saw how many adults and kids respect her, and have talked positive about her. If you do not like it don"t read it She has stood above it all and did not dignify the negative comments. Good for her. Remember being a girl in a boys sport is tough enough. Why do some try to cut her down for what she has done. Lets just appericate her strive to be the best and wish her and all that compete good luck.

....she called Beaudette a * after there match and has taken many shots right back at wrestlers who have taken shots at her. Its not commendable that what she says goes under the radar not to mention she wrestles cheap. But i absolutly respect her she plays with the boys and does work.
