Was great match with packed house, not many dual meets like this one, electric. Give Cumby credit - they pulled it out - dual meets are tough, if a couple go wrong way then it is a huge point swing...the matches above mentioned are right to that point @ 189 and 112, 18 point swing.....guys not getting pinned - or those that get pinned is so big in close matches - should make for a great state meet probably coming down to the wire again....lot of fun last night.

Absolutely great night of wrestling on both ends...Cumby locks another dual title while coach Steve "GOAT" Gordon just locked himself another "COY"...congrats on another great dual meet season to you and your boys you all deserve it!! I can wait to see the rematch when cumby and vets battle it out for the title at States should be great!!!

Erik Travers is going to be a name that will be hard to forget.....He has a heart of the old school boys.....This Mike Myers appears to have a lot of heart as well... with a coach that doesn't pay attention to injury......The old mentality of winning before the athletes well being......People who are counting Erik Travers out before they watch him may need to pause and review his wrestling backround.....only started wrestling in the 6th grade, Jumped from 103 to 130 and is holding his own.....When he gets a little older....I will get him out here in California with me and then master his stand up and you will see him in the UFC and I am going to nickname him the "Rhode Island Wrecker" Ya love it!!!!

It was 2-0 in the second, Mike was trying several tilts and was unable to turn Erik. That may have had something to do with his hand. Both times he had to stop on top due to the injury. (Though eric was close to stepping over mike when he got over extended at one point) It was a great match, mike showed alot of respect for erik to wrestle against his coaches wishes, and earned alot of respect from the fans for lettin them see a pre-curser to the finals. Should be an excellent match at states and cant wait to see them in new englands.
Overall the match was filled will some of the best wrestlers in New England and congrads to Cumberland for the win. If last night was any indication states will be very exciting.
